Situated close to Albury, New South Wales, the Albury Airport is a regional airport owned and managed by the City Council of Albury. Besides the city from which it was named, the airport also serves the adjacent city of Woodonga in Victoria.

The airport has only one runway, 7/25, which is made of asphalt and measures 1,900m long.

Terminals

Albury Airport has one terminal, which underwent an expansion project just recently, in order to keep up with the increased number of flights and passengers. The newly-renovated terminal was opened last October 2009.

Flights and Destinations

Four Australian airlines operate on the airport - Virgin Australia, QantasLink, Regional Express, and Brindabella Airlines. Virgin Australia, which started to provide its service on February 2008, offers flights to Sydney via Embraer-190s, which can accommodate 104 passengers. QantasLink also flies to Sydney using Dash 8-300s and Dash 8-400s, which have 50 and 72 seats respectively.

Another airline, the Regional Express, also has scheduled flights to Sydney and Melbourne. It utilizes the 36-seat Saab 340s for its services. Lastly is the Brindabella Airlines, which flies to Australia's capital city Canberra, via its 19-seat Metroliners.

Apart from the four airlines mentioned, Albury Airport is also served by agricultural, freight, charter, and general aviation aircraft. Kendell Airlines has also operated on the airport until March 2002, flying passengers to Sydney and Melbourne.
