Known as the gateway to the 'oasis in the desert', or the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, Griffith Airport ranked as the 48th airport with the most number of revenue passenger for the financial year of 2009-2010. This airport is currently managed by the Griffith City Council.

Griffith Airport has two runways. The first one, 06/24, has a length measurement of 1,704m and a surface of asphalt. The second runway, 18/36, is 600m long and is surfaced with clay.
Terminals
Regional Express, the only passenger airline the services the airport, operates their check-in, arrival, and departure in the airport's sole terminal.
