Orange Regional Airport (OAG) is 15 kilometres south east of Orange, in New South Wales (NSW), and about a 15 minute drive from the centre of town. Orange City Council operates the airport, and the council's airport page gave its address in mid-2023 as 136 Aerodrome Road, Huntley. Link Airways and Destination NSW call it Orange Airport.

This site's schedule data records direct flights from Orange to Brisbane and Melbourne with Link Airways, and to Sydney with Qantas and Rex.

The terminal at Orange Regional Airport

The terminal details below are from the council's airport page as it stood in mid-2023; check with the council before you travel.

Terminal opening hours

The council's page gave the terminal's hours as 6 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday. At weekends the terminal opened one hour before a flight and closed about 30 minutes after one. Check the current hours with the council if you plan to arrive well ahead of your flight at the weekend.

Facilities in the terminal

The page listed a cafe serving refreshments, light snacks and coffee, and a waiting area with open desks, power points, charging stations and public wifi. The terminal and a toilet were listed as wheelchair accessible. A meeting room could be booked through the airport manager.

Delays, cancellations and lost luggage

The page said airport operational staff could not give information about flight cancellations, delays or luggage, and sent those questions to the airline. Orange City Council, the airport's operator, is on 02 6393 8000 for airport enquiries.

Check-in and identification at Orange Regional Airport

Link Airways' check-in page lists its Orange check-in at the Main Terminal and says its check-in cannot be completed at self-service kiosk machines. The same page asks passengers who are unaccompanied minors, travelling with an infant or have special needs to check in at the airport in person. Link's airport security page advises arriving early and lists the photo identification it accepts, which includes a passport or a driver's licence.

Qantas and Rex set their own check-in and identification rules, so check them on the airline's own website before you fly. The Department of Home Affairs says, as a national rule, that security screening is compulsory for anyone entering the secure area of an Australian airport terminal, and that screening practices differ between airports depending on their equipment.
